Elf Colouring Sheets

Colouring sheets built for the elf tradition rather than for a colouring session: scenes the elf can be posed next to, a portrait sheet so children can draw your elf as they see it, and two sheets with a reply box so a note and a colouring page work as one thing.

Left, not handed over

The difference between these and ordinary elf colouring pages is what they are for. These are sized and laid out to be left on a table overnight with the elf sitting on them, with a short printed line from the elf at the top asking for something to be coloured in.

That turns a colouring sheet into part of the story, and it gives children something to do first thing in the morning, which is usually when the elf is discovered and there is half an hour before anyone needs to leave the house.

The reply sheets

Two of the eight have a box for the child to write or draw a reply, which the elf then takes away. It is the most reliable way to keep a child engaged for a whole month, because it makes the tradition two-way rather than a performance they watch.

Collect the replies. They are better than the letters as a thing to keep, and nobody thinks to save them.

Portrait sheet

One sheet is a blank outline of a small seated elf with a line asking the child to colour it the way their elf looks. Children are extremely precise about this, and the result tells you how closely they have been looking.

Questions

How are these different from elf colouring pages?
These are laid out to be left overnight with the elf sitting on them, with a printed line from the elf at the top. The colouring pages in the colouring section are straightforward sheets to hand over.
What is the reply box for?
For the child to write or draw something back, which the elf takes away the following night. It makes the tradition two-way, which keeps children engaged far longer than watching does.
Is there a sheet for drawing our own elf?
Yes. One sheet is a blank seated elf outline with a line asking the child to colour it the way their elf actually looks.
Are these free?
Yes, all eight, with no account and no watermark. Print as many as you need.
