If something does not work, it is worth telling us, because almost every fault on this site has been found by somebody printing something. Please include what you were trying to print and what came out, since that is usually enough to identify the problem without any back and forth.

Useful things to include

  • The page address of the sheet you were printing.
  • The settings you used, particularly paper size, scaling and any size you typed in.
  • What came out, measured if it is a sizing problem. A template that should be 120mm and prints at 114mm tells us immediately that scaling was on.
  • Your browser and whether you printed directly or downloaded the PDF first.
  • A photograph of the printed sheet if it is a print quality problem.

Things worth checking first

A sheet printing smaller than it should is nearly always Fit to Page. Thin lines breaking up is nearly always draft quality. A missing bottom margin is nearly always a paper size mismatch between the tool and the printer dialogue. The printing guide covers all three.

If a tool shows nothing at all, check whether JavaScript is blocked for the site. The sheet previews and the PDF are both generated in the browser, so a blocked script means an empty panel.

Suggestions and corrections

Requests for a design or a template that is missing are welcome, and so are corrections. If a quiz answer is wrong or a fact on a page is out of date, say so and it will be fixed, because the quiz answers feed structured data and a wrong one is worse than a missing one.

What we cannot help with

We cannot give permission to sell the sheets, since that is covered by the licence and the answer is no. We cannot arrange a reply from a postal service Santa scheme, which is run by Royal Mail in the UK and the Postal Service in the US. And we cannot fix a printer, though the printing guide covers the settings that cause most problems.

Questions

My printable came out too small, what do I do?
Set scaling to 100 percent or Actual Size instead of Fit to Page, which shrinks the sheet by three to five percent. Check against the size printed next to each template.
The tool panel is empty, why?
The previews and PDFs are generated in your browser, so a blocked script means nothing renders. Allow JavaScript for the site, or use the static description on the page instead.
Can I request a new design?
Yes, requests are welcome, as are corrections. A wrong quiz answer in particular is worth reporting, because the answers feed structured data on the page.
Can you get my child a reply from Santa?
No. Reply schemes are run by national postal services, Royal Mail in the UK and the Postal Service in the US, each with its own address and cut-off date that changes every year.
